Our Wedding Photoshoot Process
We will work with you to capture every moment of your wedding day, creating images for you to cherish for years to come.
After your wedding day, we will custom-edit your photos, highlighting all the moments you want to remember.
Our clients consistently tell us that they know we made it a priority to understand what THEY wanted and envisioned for their special day or event. That is not by accident. At LightMaster Studios, this experience is carefully crafted and engineered into our customer service. Clear communication before, during and after each wedding and portrait gives our clients confidence that the story of their special day and event will be told through our photography.
From time to time, we all have experienced bad customer service--whether it be at a nice restaurant, maybe at the DMV, or booking a family vacation. Maybe we had a waitress with a less than desirable attitude which affected the enjoyment of the meal, or the slow, indifferent service of a clerk that was challenging to say the least or bait and switch games maybe when we went to book that perfect getaway only to find out there are hidden fees when we went to make the reservation.
At LightMaster Studios, our mission is for you to have an enjoyable experience from beginning to end with a clear and smooth process along the way. LightMaster has a warm, friendly, relaxed, comfortable and fun atmosphere. We understand and value that time is a precious commodity. Our goal is to make sure we can be helpful with any questions or assistance you need in a quick, responsive, and organized way. From the very first consultation to the day we hand you your wedding album, we will walk you through each step in a clear and concise way that won’t overwhelm you. By listening and getting to know you, our goal is to not only tell your story in a timeless, classic, photojournalistic way, but that you have a personal experience with us that you will enjoy from beginning to end.

Frequently Asked Questions
LightMaster Studios has photographed weddings from Stowe, VT to Key West, FL and everything in between! Actually, our favorite destination was the Bahamas. We definitely enjoy destination weddings.
We are proud to be a wedding studio that gives the absolute best value in photography and product quality. Our collections start at $999 for small weddings and peak towards $5,400 with options in between. We realize that each couple is unique and has their own goals/visions, situations, and budgets for their special day. We are absolutely willing to talk to you and customize what works best for you as well.
We can definitely “meet” and talk via FaceTime or Zoom before your wedding day! For us, though, having a chance to meet you in person before your big day is SO important. We want you to have that opportunity to get to know us in a relaxed setting so that when we are there on your wedding day you don’t have to worry about whether you are going to be comfortable with us. Our engagement sessions provide that relaxed, fun and casual setting, and we have a great time getting to know our couples during those sessions.
For us, formal images and candids combined tell the entire story of your wedding day. Both types of images are important and both express different styles, moments and emotions. So we absolutely include both.
You will! All of the second photographers we work with have been working with me for years. You can absolutely expect the best quality of work and the type of friendliness and professionalism you’d want around you the day of your wedding.
Absolutely not. In fact, we work more efficiently on the day of your wedding because of the preparation and conversations we have with you beforehand. Prior to your wedding day, we will receive from you a family/friends picture list of the important people in your life you want to make sure we photograph. This helps us to plan ahead of time and take most family pictures on your wedding day within 15-20 minutes.
Absolutely, and we’ll be happy to provide your venue with proof of coverage.
LightMaster Studios has a VERY quick turnaround time with proof galleries ready in 3-4 weeks. We’ve been known to show a few sneak peek images before that 3-4 week mark as well!
You will be emailed an online viewing gallery where you can see your images and share them with family and friends. With that gallery, you will also be able to select favorite images you might want for your wedding album, prints or other products.
We offer a variety of products, including digital images; albums; different styles of prints, such as canvas, acrylic, wood, and beautiful wall clusters; customized thank you cards and many other items.
Once you have selected your images for your album, we will have a draft of the album to you within 3-4 weeks for you to review. If there are revisions you want, you get one complimentary revised version, and then after that, depending on how much you would like changed, there will be revision fees. Once you approve the final draft, it is usually about 4 weeks until we receive it. We have your album sent here to the studio just to check it and make sure there are no issues with it, and as soon as we see everything is alright, we very EXCITEDLY get it to you.
Of course! In the friends and family online gallery, they are able to select their favorite images and order products.
Absolutely! You will be given the license in your contract and can use your images for social media, make prints (up to size 8x10), use them for thank you cards, etc. We at the studio have the copyrights to use the images for our social media and marketing.
The final images you receive will not have our watermark on them. We do ask that, if you share them on social media, please give the studio credit for the images. You can do this in a few different ways:
Wedding Photography Resources
Throughout your wedding planning, you’ve probably flipped through a magazine or two (or 12) and seen the stunning photos and gorgeous centerpieces of your dreams. But not everyone can afford a celebrity-style wedding day. Fortunately, there are things you can do to have your dream wedding without breaking the bank….
Finding a mother of the bride dress that makes you feel elegant and glamorous can be a challenge as a curvy woman. While there are plenty of gown options online or in stores, you may still struggle to find something that you love and that makes you feel as beautiful as you dream of feeling.
Finding a bridesmaid dress that looks good on every body shape and size can be a bit of a challenge, but it’s definitely not impossible! If you’re not sure where to start or worried about finding a style of dress that flatters every one of your girls, we’re here to help.
Hi, I'm Shawn, founder and lead photographer at LightMaster Studios, a Poconos wedding and portrait studio serving Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
One of the most exciting things as photographers is working with couples who are planning their wedding. There is so much anticipation, excitement and energy the couples have, and it's contagious. Sometimes when we ask them about doing their engagement session though, we are asked, “Do we really need to do that?” “Can we just skip that?” Or... ”My fiancé really doesn’t like having pictures taken.”
What couples don’t understand is that your photographer is going to be with you your ENTIRE wedding day. Every vendor will play an important role throughout your wedding day, but not only is your photographer the one capturing and documenting literally the whole day from start to finish, but they will be your shadow for all of it. An engagement photo session is not just a chance to get nice pictures of you and your fiancé, but it is an important and wonderful opportunity for you to make sure that you like your photographer's style, demeanor, and that you “click” with them. It allows you the time to get to know them in a casual, no-pressure setting and see if this is someone you want following you around 10-12 hours on your wedding day.
We strive to make you feel comfortable and relaxed in a fun setting that allows you to get to know us while creating modern, dramatic yet intimate images for you to enjoy for years to come.
