Emma & Tim's Love Wedding Story
What is your love story?
Our story began on October 4, 2017, at Community Church. We were both only 17 years old. We immediately took notice in each other while still hanging out in our individual friend groups. Then, we got put in the same group for short sermon writing, and that’s when we began talking and getting to know each other. We had a few mutual friends that would invite us over and we would all hang out as a group. We got to know each other as friends in that time, and then realized that we wanted to get to know each other on a one-on-one basis. Tim was brave and asked me out to coffee! He planned our whole first date to a small cafe and then a hike to a waterfall! I knew that I could picture building a life with him after that date. We started dating on May 4, 2018, and the rest was history. We dated with the intention of getting married, which made the decision of getting married at a young age very easy.
What were some things you liked about the venue that wanted you to celebrate your wedding day there?
Tall Timber Barn is a family run business, which means a lot to us because Emma’s dad is a small business owner and so we try to support others as much as possible. We loved that the people were extremely welcoming and offered unique accommodations that perfectly met our needs. The venue owner worked one on one with me to make sure all of my dreams and visions came true.

What special moments from the ceremony or reception stood out to you?
Well, just the fact that our wedding took place during a global pandemic was pretty unique and special. I love that our bridal party prayed over us during our wedding. Prayer is something that is so prominent in both of our lives, so it was important that we did it in our ceremony.
Would you share any unusual, unique, or memorable activities or special traditions that were part of your wedding?
Tim and I SHOT A REAL CANON at the end of the night. It was something that no one will forget about our wedding!

A Little About Tall Timber Barn
The Tall Timber Barn in Canadensis, Pennsylvania is a unique rustic wedding venue located in the Pocono Mountains. If you are still in the planning process for your wedding and reception we enjoy the design aesthetic, surroundings, and dedicated staff. The barn space is furnished with farm tables and a mix of wooden chairs, lanterns, pub tables, and hickory bar stools. The bar in the barn is a great intimate and cozy place for guests to dance, mingle and enjoy a drink. I believe the most unique and absolutely unforgettable experience is the lighting and firing of the cannon. it's perfect for after the wedding ceremony.
